This print was pulled from a cedar table that was burnt to create texture.  A Japanese technique called "Shou Sugi Ban", in which the wood is burnt in order to seal it from water, insect and fire damage.  The process leaves a scorched textured grain and a satisfying tactile surface to touch.

Cedar Shou Sugi Ban Print (unframed) 27 x 43 inches (dimensions may vary)
